Joondalup City Sprint Competitors

As a special thank you to the competitors that supported us in our first year, we will be opening FIRST ROUND entries exclusively to you.

The inaugural running of any event is a plunge into the unknown for both the organiser and the participant. The phrase “teething issues” is in the common vernacular because it is almost guaranteed nothing runs perfectly on the first attempt. So, it means a lot to us that those in the motorsport community embraced a brand-new event knowing it would probably have some teething issues.

We are incredibly proud of the 2022 Joondalup Festival of Motoring. But now, with the first event in the rear-view mirror, we can take the lessons learned to fine-tune this event into a well-oiled machine for the benefit of the participants and spectators.

The trust shown by competitors to commit to an event in its first year, to enthusiastically participate and support it, and then give organisers helpful feedback on what worked well and what needed to be tweaked, has been invaluable.

With this event now later in the year, we are avoiding sharing the potential participant pool with other motoring events and therefore expecting plenty of competitor interest.

So, as a thank you, we are opening entries and holding a place for our 2022 competitor alumni, the remaining competition places will open to all who would like to participate. Entries will be submitted this year through your Motorsport Australia dashboard, but you will receive more information on this closer to the entry open date. Your place in the fast-track que will not be transferable.
